Who we are
The Seaway Senior Citizens Club is a non-profit registered charitable organization established in October 1989. It is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and administered by a Managing Director with the help of many, many volunteers. The SSCC is a wheelchair Accessible – Air Conditioned – Smoke-Free facility. It is a warm and friendly place for seniors to share, connect and learn by participating in social, recreational and health & wellness programs and services.
Daily activities for people 50 plus.
All of Seaway Senior Citizen’s 50+ Club programs provide some form of physical or mental benefit. For example, singing in the choir improves posture, exercises the lungs and heart, increases both oxygen and pain-relieving endorphins, reduces stress, improves sleeping and strengthens your core, thereby improving balance. It’s also fun, especially with Steven Ellam as your director. Everyone is invited to register.
We also offer…
We also offer Line Dancing, Yoga, Tai Chi and we have a daily exercise program. These programs reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes, reduce chances of getting breast cancer, help you live longer and be healthier as the years tick on. How can you deny yourself these benefits? People of different ages and stages of fitness attend these classes as there is a place for all in these groups.
